The End of a Great Week!

Today was a crazy day because of our 11:45 dismissal. Our one special today was foreign language, which was a lot of fun. We got our new Wordly Wise books and looked at the first lesson we will be working on, Lesson 7. In math, we played Around the World with our multiplication facts. Most importantly, our day ended with our first Dance Party. It was a blast! We can't wait for next week's. Signed: The Class

The fourth day of school

This morning we had our first computer class of the year. After that we had PE. It was exhausting! Then we had math and then lunch.

In history we had a scavenger hunt. During science class, we did an experiment to see which soda had the biggest reaction when Mentos were added. We used Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. It was awesome! Signed: BCM and KJG

Then we did 5 of our Essential Rules in our class circle and disscussed our Genre Wheel. In science we got to see a powerpoint about the scientific method, and then switched to history. For an experiment in history somebody got to tell Mr Evans where to go in the using using directions . Now we were good so we are going to recess. Signed: GJH and KMT

We started off our second day by going to art and drawing dots, while Mrs. Reynolds read a book to us called The Dot. Our first math class consisted of taking a math "test" and playing Around the World with mulitplication facts. During recess we had a huge Freeze Tag scrimmage with the entire fourth grade. In history class today we went to Mr. Evans's room and learned about Mr. Evans and cool artifacts. He talked to us about seeing things, including Virginia history, from different perspectives. Then in science we learned about safety and had to sign a Safety Contract. At the end of the day, we typed this paragraph as a class. As you can see, our second day of school was a lot of fun and very interesting. Signed, The Class

Great Day

Our first day has come and gone, and we were able to get most of our materials organized and put away. Our teacher began to go over her 44 Essential Rules, and we began to become accustomed to how she "does things." We interviewed a partner and introduced that partner to the class. Now we are looking forward to tomorrow when we begin our science and history rotations.
